Barrie Housing is committed to supporting more than just housing needs. Our New Foundation

The Beyond Homes Foundation was created with a singular mission: to provide comprehensive support that empowers tenants to thrive beyond the walls of their homes. Launched in 2024, the Foundation serves as a bridge between Barrie Housing and community partners, offering a range of programs and services that address the diverse needs of our tenants. From educational initiatives to wellness programs and emergency support, the Foundation is dedicated to fostering an environment where tenants have the tools, resources, and support to take charge of their lives and their futures.

The Beyond Homes Foundation assists with a wide range of needs, including: 

  • Food Security
  • Support with completing applications for financial supplements (Rent/Utilities etc.)
  • Connections to outside agencies for support (Mental Health Addictions, At Home Care etc.)
  • Guidance for Aging Tenants in making informed decisions about their future & Much More!
